How it works

Email is a solved problem. Most of the price is not.

Three things decide whether hosted mail is worth paying for: what it costs when your team changes size, whether the messages arrive, and how hard it is to leave. Everything else is in the spec table.

Pricing

Three sizes on one straight line.

A mailbox is €2 for 5 GB, €5 for 15 GB and €15.50 for 50 GB. That is not three arbitrary numbers — it is €0.30 for every gigabyte above a €0.50 base, so the big mailbox is priced by the same rule as the small one. Picking the wrong size costs nothing either: an inbox is resized in place, in a click, while it is running.

  • Resize up or down in place — no delete-and-recreate, no re-sync, no downtime
  • Every inbox sized on its own — the archive account does not set the price of the rest
  • No seat minimum, no annual commitment, prorated to the day
  • Aliases, distribution addresses and catch-alls are free and do not count as inboxes

Deliverability

The unglamorous part, done properly.

Mail that lands in spam is mail you did not send. SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are generated for your domain when you add it, the outbound IPs are ours and kept clean, and reverse DNS matches — the three things that decide whether Gmail believes you.

  • SPF, DKIM and DMARC generated for you, not left as an exercise
  • Dedicated outbound addresses with matching reverse DNS
  • DMARC aggregate reports parsed and shown, not mailed to you as XML

Access

Standard protocols, so nothing is holding your mail hostage.

IMAP and SMTP, the way they are documented. Use Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, the webmail we ship, or something written in 2004 — it will connect. Leaving is an IMAP sync away, which is the point: staying should be a decision, not a lock-in.

  • IMAP, SMTP submission and CalDAV/CardDAV for calendar and contacts
  • Webmail included, no extra per-user charge
  • Export or migrate over IMAP without asking us for permission

Getting started

From a domain you own to mail you can read.

  1. 01

    Add the domain

Any domain you control. You do not have to move the registration to us and you do not have to host anything else here.

    yourdomain.tld
  2. 02

    Publish the records

Five DNS records, generated for you. If we manage the zone there is nothing to paste.

    MX · SPF · DKIM · DMARC
  3. 03

    Create the inboxes

One line each, sized individually — and guess freely, because changing the size later is a click and not a migration.

    kyle@ 15 GB · billing@ 5 GB · hello@ (alias)
  4. 04

    Connect, or migrate

Autodiscover handles most clients. Moving from somewhere else is an IMAP sync we can run for you.

Pricing

Charged per inbox that a human or a system actually logs into, at whatever size that particular inbox needs. Everything that merely routes mail — aliases, forwarding addresses, a catch-all — is free, and changes are prorated to the day.

Combines with anything, requires nothing

Mailboxes sit alongside website hosting and ASP.NET Core hosting on one invoice, but they are not a bundle and not an upsell. Take three inboxes and no hosting, or fifty inboxes across four domains and a €1 static site — the price is the same line either way: €0.30 a gigabyte over a €0.50 base, per inbox. Sizes are not a commitment: any inbox moves between 5, 15 and 50 GB with one click, live, and the invoice follows from that day.

Before you buy

Questions we would rather answer here than in an email.

QWhy is 50 GB €15.50 and not a round number?

Because it is the same line as the other two. Five gigabytes is €2 and fifteen is €5, which works out at €0.30 per gigabyte over a €0.50 base — apply that to fifty and you get €15.50. We would rather publish the arithmetic than round it up and call it simpler.

QDo I have to host my website here to get mail?

No. Mailboxes are a service on their own — you can point the MX records of a domain at us while the site itself lives anywhere, including with another provider. Combining it with hosting is convenient because it is one invoice, but nothing about the product requires it.

QWhat counts as an inbox for billing?

A mailbox that a person or a system logs into. Aliases, forwarding addresses, distribution addresses and a catch-all are free and unlimited, so info@, sales@ and hello@ all landing in one 5 GB mailbox costs €2, not €8.

QHow many domains can I use?

As many as you like, at no extra charge. The price is per inbox, not per domain, so five domains feeding twelve 5 GB inboxes is €24 a month.

QCan you migrate my existing mail?

Yes. If your current provider speaks IMAP — nearly all of them do — we sync the existing folders across before you switch the MX records, so nothing is missing on the first morning. Larger migrations we run out of hours.

QWhat happens when a mailbox fills up?

We tell you rather than bouncing mail, and you move that one inbox up a size — from 5 GB to 15 GB is €3 more, prorated from the day you change it. It happens live: the mailbox keeps its address, its folders, its rules and its history, nothing is re-synced and no client notices. Nobody else on the account is affected and nothing is deleted to make room.

QDo I have to pick the right size up front?

No, and you should not agonise over it. Storage is a slider on a running mailbox — move it up when a project starts, move it back down when the attachments stop arriving, and the invoice follows from the day you changed it. There is no delete-and-recreate step, no export and re-import, and no window where mail is unavailable.

QWhere is my mail stored, and who can read it?

On our hardware, in the EU, encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not scan message content for advertising, profiling or model training, and there is no third-party mail platform underneath us that would. Access by us happens when you ask for support and is logged.

QWhat if I want to leave?

Point the MX records elsewhere and pull the mail down over IMAP. We do not hold the data hostage, there is no export fee, and there is no notice period to serve — billing stops with the inbox.

From two euros, and your name is on your own address.

Bring a domain, publish five records, and read your mail in whatever client you already use. Leaving works the same way, which is how it should be.
