Network & Connectivity
Most providers describe their footprint in a way that cannot be checked. Ours is four buildings, and we will tell you which of them your workload is in. What we own is the hardware; the halls and the transit are Hetzner's, and pretending otherwise would be the first lie.
The split matters, so here it is plainly. The servers are ours: we specified them, paid for them and maintain them. The buildings and the network are Hetzner's, which is why traffic to your site travels over AS24940. Plenty of providers obscure that line. We think knowing where it falls is the reason to trust the rest.
We buy the servers, we rack them, and we run them. The halls they stand in belong to Hetzner, and transit reaches you over their AS24940. We would rather tell you that than imply we own a network we do not.
Falkenstein, Frankfurt, Helsinki and Zürich. Not a map with a hundred dots on it, most of which are a CNAME. If you ask which one your site is on, you get an answer with a site and a rack in it.
Every byte stays inside EU or Swiss law. The Zürich site exists for customers who need Swiss data residency specifically. That is an architectural constraint, not a sales line — there is no US region to fall back on.
The facilities are built to a standard we could not fund on our own: redundant power, real fire suppression, staff at three in the morning. What we add is the part that is usually missing — someone who answers.

Choosing European hosting is usually framed as a compromise — the sovereign option, the compliant option, the one you pick because procurement made you. We think that framing is the actual problem. Nobody should have to accept a worse product to keep their data on the right continent.
So the aim is narrow: build the version you would pick anyway. That means a static site costs a euro, deploys from a git push, and comes back up when you roll it back. It means the console does provisioning, billing, certificates and key rotation at eleven on a Saturday without anyone opening a ticket. We wrote all of it, which is why it behaves like software rather than a re-skinned WHMCS.
Astrava UG is a small team in Lübeck — the Hanseatic city we grew up in and where the company is registered. We are not going to pretend to a scale we do not have. What we can offer is that everything we sell runs on machines we bought, in four buildings we will name, answered by the people who run them.
